VitaGuard® VG 5
PRECISE MONITORING OF PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS FOR MAXIMUM PATIENT SAFETY

Why choose VitaGuard® VG 5?
The VitaGuard® VG 5 series is the most versatile generation of our monitors and sets new standards in point-of-care monitoring. It comprises three model types for different areas of application:
VitaGuard® VG 5 MP (Multiparameter): Monitors heart rate, pulse rate, respiration, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂).
VitaGuard® VG 5 CR (Cardio-Respiratory): Measures heart and pulse rate as well as respiration.
VitaGuard® VG 5 PX (Pulse oximeter): Focuses on measuring oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate.
All models ensure that medical professionals, caregivers, and parents always have a clear overview of the patient’s most important vital signs. Whether in outpatient use, in a clinical setting, or at home, the VitaGuard® VG 5 series reliably supports the early detection of changes in vital signs and ensures the best possible care and safety.
Monitoring
Our VitaGuard® vital signs monitors continuously monitor the following physiological parameters:
- Heart or pulse rate,
- Respiration, and
- Arterial oxygen saturation.
Alarm Functions
VitaGuard® emits audible and visual alarms as soon as oxygen saturation or heart rate falls below or exceeds the specified limits. In addition, the system warns if no respiratory movements are detected over a preset period of time, for example in the case of central apnea.
Evaluation Software
In the event of an alarm, all relevant data is automatically logged and immediately available for detailed analysis and documentation. The data can be viewed directly on the monitor's color display or can be imported and further processed using the VitaWin® evaluation software.
Innovative Technology – Easy to Use
High performance, low weight: the monitoring monitor weighs just over 515 g. The clearly structured user interface enables intuitive use – from medically trained staff to nursing staff without prior technical knowledge. An integrated battery maintains monitoring even in the event of a power failure.
Extensive Data Logging Features
In the event of an alarm, VitaGuard® automatically records all relevant measurements, waveforms, and monitor settings, including selectable pre- and post-event periods. The event-driven memory can store up to 1,000 events. In addition, both manual and interval-based recordings are available. Furthermore, the device provides the last 48 hours as long-term data and 168 hours as trend data.
Comprehensive Data Evaluation
The logged values and waveforms can be viewed directly on the monitor’s colour display for quick reference. Alternatively, using GETEMED’s VitaWin® software, the event, trend, full-disclosure and compliance data can be transferred to a PC via the USB port, visualized, evaluated and documented.
